KLR Medical Certification Training School (KLR) launched in 2022, to expand course offerings to more than just the Pharmacy Technician certification which has been the primary course offered since 2018. KLR is focused on ensuring students have clear connections from the classroom to career. These connections will position students to access jobs that provide the economic security needed to contribute to the vitality of their families, communities, and local economies.
Certified Pharmacy Technician
Pharmacy technicians work closely with a pharmacist to ensure the health and safety of their patients. They locate, dispense, pack, and label a prescribed medication for a patient that is then reviewed for accuracy by a pharmacist before dispensed to the patient. The role of a Pharmacy Technician varies depending on whether they are in an in-patient or retail pharmacy setting.
Certified Billing & Coding Specialist
The skills learned through medical coding certification are essential to the health care field. CBCS personnel handle medical billing and coding for insurance and patient invoices to ensure that healthcare providers are reimbursed for their services.
A veterinary assistant is a vital member of a veterinary clinic or hospital team who provides support to veterinarians and veterinary technicians. Their responsibilities often include assisting with animal care, such as feeding and bathing, preparing examination rooms, sterilizing equipment, and helping to educate pet owners about basic animal health and care. They play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of a veterinary practice and the well-being of the animals under their care.
