Ian Burkling

My name is Ian Burking. I am from Indianapolis, IN and I am a father of three wonderful children. I was looking for a career change in my life, and family friend suggested that I apply to the pharmacy where she worked. I have been employed at this pharmacy for almost half a year now, and they enrolled me in this course in order to help me obtain my certification. I was very nervous going in, but my wife was a technician for years and she was very excited for me to do this. I was enrolled and began classes July 31st, 2023. The classes were very intense, and the best way that I was able to take everything in effectively was to take copious amounts of notes. I also created several stacks of flash cards in addition to the assigned flash card homeworks. Everyone within this course had so much passion and warmth, and it made it clear that they cared and wanted us students to succeed. I have to say that I really did like how frequently we reviewed all of the information presented within the class. Without that repetition, I do not think that I could have retained as much as I have. My hope is to continue at my pharmacy job, keep learning, and hopefully move up within the organization. I could not do any of that without this certification that I have, and I owe a lot of that to this course.
