How I got to KLR Pharmacy was attending the Excel Center in Memphis, TN.  Although I have a certification, I wanted something more, so I decided to take the pharmacy tech course, I had no clue as to what I was up against. Working full time 12-hour shifts, still attending the high school taking 3 classes, maintaining 2 small businesses AND also a mentor at a local high. Once I received the flash card assignments before school had even started, I was like wait a minute is she serious? LOL As classes started, I became worried that I wouldn’t keep up & at the age of 42 I had my moments & wanted to give up but when I say Katie is a drill Sargent and everything, I needed to be successful. Even during times, she had to be away her staff was amazing and also wanted to see us do well. I’m grateful for the entire KLR team. I am looking forward to starting the new year with a new career as a pharmacy technician. I’m excited about what’s to come & feel that I am an example that you are never too old to learn.
