CPhT

My name is Hallie Rhoades and I’m from Indiana. I found the KLR Medical Certification Training School through the Excel Center as I was pursuing my high school diploma. I was drawn towards the Pharmacy Tech position immediately due to my experience of taking care of my grandfather when he was sick, and I oversaw his medicine until he passed and with that experience, I always knew that I wanted to help others no matter what position I would be in. When I first decided to pursue my high school diploma, I wasn’t very motivated in the beginning, but I didn’t want to give up and when I began the Pharmacy Tech training, I tried to keep the same attitude. My process throughout the training program was to push myself and anytime I wanted to give in and just let my anxiety take over I would remind myself that I can do it and the only thing stopping me would be myself. Staying motivated was the key and the coaches did an amazing job of keeping us motivated through it all. I enjoyed the positivity throughout the whole course from the coaches, they wanted us to complete it with success just as much as we did and that was a major motivator. I also enjoyed the practice tests and the Kahoot games we played because everything the coaches taught us played heavily in our success. The overall experience of doing something new and learning so many things has been fun, and I can’t wait to see where all this will take me in a few years' time. I will be taking my certification and putting it forward into pursuing the pharmacy tech position with CVS and getting as much knowledge and experience from that to hopefully become a part of the pharmacy within the hospital setting. I am so thankful to the KLR School for everything and for those who are interested and want to pursue any medical training within the KLR Medical Training School. Do it, I promise you won’t regret it because in the end WE ALL CAN-DO HARD THINGS!
