Megan Thomas

My name is Megan Thomas and I am 33 years old. I attended the Bloomington Excel Center. A little about me, I dropped out of high school my senior year. I had terrible anxiety, problems at home, and just did not care or think that school was important. I have struggled with social anxiety and stepping out of my comfort zone for many years. For the last 12 years I have been a stay at home mom to our four children. Last year, my mom was diagnosed with terminal lung cancer so she now lives with my husband and I. Life has definitely been a struggle but I am so proud of where I am at right now. Last year, I enrolled in the Excel Center. It was very hard to stick to, but I pushed myself, along with my friends and family. I enrolled in KLR Pharmacy Technician training school. It was one of the best things I have ever done.

Katie is an amazing teacher and I am so grateful to have gone through this experience. She really cares about her students, and she makes that known. I just applied for my Pharmacy Tech license. I have applied to a few hospital Pharmacy Technician jobs. I am hoping to work at IU Hospital in Bloomington.
