Enrolling in the Excel center got my foot in the door to a better education! Katie, my coach, mentioned this course but at first, I was hesitant because I just wanted to do the CNA certification. Well, things didn’t work out with the CNA Certification, so I went to talk with Katie about enrolling in your class, because I did want to be in the medical field. I started your class and right away I was excited! I had them print off the chapter one slide for me to help me get a better understanding. I’m a mom of 3 who works so hard for my kids, I was tired of being stuck, feeling stuck! I fell behind in my classes in 2012 and because I did, they made me sign papers to basically drop out. I was so unhappy with myself because I let my education slip through my fingers. I wasn’t going to let that stop me. I had dreams that of me with my high school classmates I was supposed to graduate with multiple times, but after I woke from those dreams, I knew it wasn’t real, I wanted to make it real. I went to my kids open house back in August, and there they had excel center representatives at a table, after I talked with them, I was so excited to further my education… So, I did! I never stopped hitting my goals, even when the last couple of weeks got me down. I wasn’t going to let that stop me from achieving my goals. This class was a process, but at the end of class I did my work, I turned it in as soon as I could! I wasn’t going to fall behind now; the finish line was right there. I was dedicated to myself and my kids, to be a better me. I’m from Indiana, but I’m originally from Florida, I moved to Indiana back in 2007. This class was the best experience I could’ve ever had! I’m going to take this certification in the medical field with me, and also reach for my phlebotomist certification too! I’m so happy to be a part of this class.
