What brought me to KLR was when Katie visited the excel center I attend in St.Louis. I just loved her personal story about her struggles in life and how she never let that stop her,and how she kept wanting to do better for herself and her kids.( was shocked to learn she has an adult son,she still looks so young). If you want better for yourself and those around you,you have to be willing to put in the work, cause the resources are out there. When I met Katie I was nearing the end of my final term at the excel center and still wasn't really sure what I wanted to do career wise after graduation. But after hearing Katie and her back story and the classes that were offered, I said why not? I'm not personally paying for the course, why not take advantage of free education that could only help me in life. I went back to school because of my oldest daughter who's 18 and graduated high school a year early. My process through the course was pretty smooth, cause I didn't have any other classes to complete,so I could put my full focus into the Pharmacy Technician course. I made it my personal mission to always have my assignments in on time,if extra credit was offered I was on it. If a guest speaker came to talk to us I engaged. Brent....what can I say he's the freaking best, very helpful always open to any questions I might have had. He was the first person I contacted right after I got my NHA results. Naomi was awesome as well as Shawna. There's no way I would have passed any mid term, final or national exam without any of the staff members support and guidance. I could never repay any of you for how you have helped me realize my purpose in life. Thanks to you guys I've found my purpose and career in life, and I'm forever grateful. You all will be happy to know that I plan on using my certification in the hospital setting ( I have an interview with DePaul Hospital tomorrow and BJC has forwarded my information to their manager). All the practice tests helped me more than anything. My goal is to become a Pharmacist. I love all you guys, thank you so much for the opportunity, and I promise to make you all proud.
