KLR Pharmacy Technician Training School Intro

Welcome to My World of KLR Pharmacy Technician Training School by Katie Reigelsperger (Owner & Instructor)

I started teaching a pharmacy technician certification course at the end of 2018. As it grew I needed to make a choice and in October 2020 I resigned from my position at Riverview Hospital to teach this course and grow this company full time. Since then, KLR Pharmacy Technician Training School has done just that - GROW! We now teach for 43 schools, the public, WorkOne, Next Level Jobs, and the WorkForce Ready grant through four states: Indiana, Michigan, Missouri, and Tennessee. This is an 8-week fully online course with instructor led classes via zoom. Students prepare for and take the NHA exam to become Certified Pharmacy Technicians and after taking and passing their exam, we walk them through the licensing process so that they are fully employable after they finish the course. The class runs 6 times per year Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from 9 am-12pm. It's been a learning process but we have not had any student fail the exam in two years and we have graduated 141 students to date!

About Me

Between retail and hospital pharmacy, I have 12 years of experience as a Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT). Beginning at CVS Pharmacy in 2008, I worked as the Lead Technician and Inventory Specialist for four years before moving into hospital pharmacy. In the hospital, I was IV and Chemo trained and was then promoted to Pharmacy Supervisor and was in charge of the training program for 30+ technicians in a variety of different areas that included but were not limited to IV, Chemo, and Medication History roles. I was in charge of the local high school internship program for the pharmacy, served as a member of the hospital’s HAZAMT team, and part of a program for the local high school that taught seniors about different health care fields prior to graduation.

Inspiring Others

Helping others to learn, grow, and reach their goals has been an incredibly rewarding experience, I am proud to be part of changing the path of generations to come and I am in awe of the men and women I have met through this opportunity.
