CBCS

My Name is Fanny Mendoza. I am currently an online student for The Goodwill Excel center of Northridge in Austin Tx, I am getting ready to graduate from school and receive my High school diploma. I started the Goodwill Excel center because I became a young mother at the age of 16 and I decided to dedicate my time to raising my son and was not able to finish high school at the moment. Through the Goodwill Excel Center I had the opportunity to begin the KLR Medical Certification Training School, I started the program on February 21st. This program was such a significant chance for me to work on myself as an individual because I have not had a chance to progress because I have been a stay at home mom for a while. I am happy to be a mom of two kids now when my son turned 12 back in 2021 I had my second baby, my daughter I was able to to attend online classes with The Goodwill Excel Center and also go through the KLR Medical Certification School of Training all while balancing life at home with my toddler and my teenage son. I have only positive things to say about the KLR program because I truly feel like the online program was perfect for me, I live in Leander Tx on property the closest store to me is 20 min away and I am the only transportation source for my son to and from school because of how far we live. I was able to stay home and take care of my daughter while I was going through the KLR Medical Certification Training school but of how easily it was made accessible to me. I believe that the KLR team made all this possible for me because as I went through the learning process, Ms.Katie and our coaches offered all the help and support we needed. I learned many things in such a short amount of time and I was able to fully understand the complex system of the revenue cycle and how significant Medical billing and coding is to the medical field. We learned the kind of Jobs we could do in the field, how the whole system works, we learned how insurance works and different policies, we learned about rules and regulations, and we learned exactly why and how things work. I believe that the training was important because it made it clear why careers in the medical billing and coding field are necessary. My experience was amazing, I feel like I was given all the tools to fully understand and we had assignments that helped us memorize the material so easily. We had Ms.Katie encouraging us every step of the way, All of our coaches like Ms.Nadia and Mr.Brent made it easy to ask for help with our assignments. We also had guest speakers that helped us network and give us job opportunities but that were also sharing their experience and advice in the medical field. I am glad to be given the chance to be able to go through the program and I am excited to be able to pursue a career in the medical field. My plans after earning my CBCS Certification are to continue learning and pursuing medical billing and coding. First I would like to apply for jobs with my new certification and then I would like to be able to progress in the medical billing and coding field. As I learn more and gain more experience I would like to keep my options open in the medical field and take any chance to progress. Over all I am so happy to have had the opportunity to be a student for KLR Medical Certification Training School it opened so much new opportunities for me and my life and it gave me the confidence in myself to pursue them, I will always remember that we can all do hard things and we must believe in ourselves.
