CBCS

Hi my name is Samantha. I started school with KLR medical certification in May of 2023 and finished in June of 2023. I came from the excel center in Richmond. I was working to get my diploma. They also let me know that I could receive my certification if I picked a class. I picked the CBCS class that was held with KLR Medical Certification. I was so nervous. Then I found out that we were allowed to use our books and notes when we took the National Exam. That calmed me down.. So every little thing I thought was important or I missed on a test I wrote it down in my books. My process with KLR was a little difficult. I literally picked this class like a week before it started. I felt like I was swamped in work to do! But I was determined to pass this class. I really wanted this.. I was all caught up before class began. My experience with Miss. Katie was awe-inspiring. She always answered my questions, always called me back or would text back. I never had the feeling like she didn’t care if we passed this class or not. I appreciate the communication that we had. That was one thing I was afraid of with taking an online class was communication, like would she answer all of my questions. What I enjoyed about this class was we all would talk about our class work that we did not understand. Katie would explain to us so we did understand what it meant. I feel like what helped me the most was going over the finals together. Like everyone had to answer the question and if we got them wrong then I would write them down. I plan on getting a job through our local hospital to use my certification. My plan is to work using my certification going back to school to become a Medical Assistance.
